María del Pilar Agudelo M. is an artist and entrepreneur based in Cali, Colombia, working with drawing, print, assemblages and textile. She is the founder of Calathea, an artisanal ice cream brand established in 2009 that combines culinary artistry with social impact by empowering women from marginalized communities through employment and skill development.

María del Pilar studied Culinary Arts at The French Culinary Institute in New York and holds an AAS in Painting/Drawing, a BFA in Printmaking, and a Minor in Art History from Pratt Institute, where she graduated with Highest Honors and received an international scholarship. Her practice reflects a deep commitment to art, culture, and entrepreneurship as transformative forces for connection and social change.
